The power symbol in Reiki is Cho Ku Rei, CKR. This symbol can be used by it self or in combination with other symbols.  Reiki Pratitioners use this symbol to begin a session and end a session, named a stack. Cho Ku Rei is the beginning and the end. I would only use Reiki if you are attuned to it. Each time you receive an upgrade to your vibration, your energy slate, body and mind are being polished. When you receive an attunement in Reiki you are being harmonized with the spirit of Reiki Energy. After an attunement you may feel calmness, tiredness, very excited to begin a new journey, etc...
